Removals and Changes:
- The functions FormalLog, FormalGroupLaw and
FormalGroupHomomorphism now consistently use the
standard choice of parameter T = - x/y (as in Silverman).
Previously some of them used T = x/y.
- For an elliptic curve (with type CrvEll),
AutomorphismGroup and Automorphisms
previously returned automorphisms of the underlying curve,
in the category of curves rather than elliptic curves.
New Features:
- A function AutomorphismGroup determines the
automorphisms of an elliptic curve over its base field
(which may be any field that is adequately supported in Magma).
It returns an abstract group (an abelian or polycyclic group),
and also a map sending group elements to concrete automorphisms.
