November 8, 2007: The 2007 edition of Magma (Version 2.14) was
released in late October and is now available for all supported
platforms. It contains many new capabilities as well as major
upgrades of algorithms and code for several core areas. See

Version 2.14-2 of Magma has been released, for Windows.
October 29, 2007:
Version 2.14-1 of Magma has been released, for x86 Linux platforms.

The Magma web server may be down occasionally over the next few days,
due to power outages in the building that contains it.

The book
Discovering Mathematics with Magma
(Eds Bosma and Cannon) has now been published by Springer.
This book presents 14 case studies of the application of Magma to
problems in a variety of areas of mathematics.
The Magma code appearing in this book is now available for download.

The Magma web site is undergoing a redesign.
Every effort is being made to keep links functional during the
transitional period.
April 20, 2007:
Magma is now available for the Intel Mac under OS X.
Initially, a 32-bit version is provided and it is hoped that
a 64-bit version will follow in some months.
April 11, 2007:
The online calculator has been updated to V2.13-11.
April 5, 2007:
Patch release

This includes the Windows version.
