  • The set of rational points of an algebraic curve

  • In this talk we will introduce the methods of Chabauty and the Mordell-Weil Sieve. We will then show how a combination of these, together with a "descent" argument, can be used to fully determine the set of rational points of an algebraic curve (of genus greater than 1).
