  • The canonical line hypothesis for smooth Fano polytopes
  • 3pm–4pm, Thursday 20th May, 2010
  • Carlaw 535
  • Golyshev conjectured that for any smooth Fano polytope P with dimP ≤ 5 the roots of the Ehrhart polynomial have real part equal to -1/2 (the “canonical line hypothesis”). I shall sketch a proof of this conjecture. This is joint work with Gábor Hegedüs (see arXiv:1004.3817v1).
