  • Constructive recognition of the Big Ree groups

  • I will describe an algorithm that solves the constructive recognition problem for the Big Ree groups. Different areas of computational algebra are used in the algorithm, and the implementation makes heavy use of Magma's machinery in these areas. The algorithm forms a part of the matrix group recognition project.
