Magma is a large, well-supported software package designed to solve
computationally hard problems in algebra, number theory, geometry and
combinatorics.
It provides a mathematically rigorous environment for computing with
algebraic, number-theoretic, combinatoric, and geometric objects.

November 8, 2007: The 2007 edition of Magma (Version 2.14) was
released in late October and is now available for all supported
platforms. It contains many new capabilities as well as major
upgrades of algorithms and code for several core areas. See

The book
Discovering Mathematics with Magma
(Eds Bosma and Cannon) has now been published by Springer.
This book presents 14 case studies of the application of Magma to
problems in a variety of areas of mathematics.
The Magma code appearing in this book is now available for download.
